In my opinion, I believe Nora's actions at the end of the play are logical. She is in a loveless relationship, not that she realises until the play draws to a close. She was pretending, playing her make believe games throughout the story, as she has never really grown out of her childish phase, as she never truly had the chance to fend for herself. Throughout her life, she has constantly depended on another. She never had a chance to live.
When she realises this, as one would, you yearn for the freedom that you never had to begin with, thus the sudden change in Nora's life course. She wants to be her own person, not just controlled by those around her like a Doll in a Dollshouse. No longer is she the innocent little child relies upon her parents and family to make her decisions for her. She is a fully grown woman.
In my opinion, I believe her actions show her character. She is very strong-willed and a very strong character, however she has never had the chance to reflect her strength. This is her perfect opportunity, therefore she ceases it.
I think she should have left him earlier, instead of prolonging the sub-conscience pain that she must had felt, the longing for freedom.
Nora's sudden departure from her former life is the breaking free from control inside the Dollshouse, and being able to choose ones own life path, and I believe her decision to be logical.
